Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions explain the general rules for using our website and requesting or booking relocation and logistics services. A service-specific written quotation, booking confirmation or contract may contain additional terms that apply to a particular move.
1. Website and quotation requests
Information on this website is provided to explain services and help customers request an estimate. A website form submission is an enquiry, not an automatic booking. A quotation becomes meaningful only after the relevant inventory, route, access conditions, packing requirements, dates, taxes, special handling and exclusions have been reviewed. Where the written booking confirmation differs from a general website description, the confirmed booking scope controls for that job.
2. Service scope
Services may include packing, dismantling, loading, transport, unloading, placement, unpacking, storage, vehicle movement, documentation support or international coordination. Not every activity is included in every quotation. Customers should review the written scope carefully, including materials, labour, vehicle type, origin and destination services, storage, transit protection, taxes, tolls, handling charges and any third-party fees.
3. Customer information and inventory
Accurate information is essential for safe planning. The customer should disclose the main inventory, unusually heavy or fragile items, restricted access, stairs or lift limitations, parking restrictions, society or building rules, vehicle condition, destination constraints and any special handling requirement before the final quotation. Material changes in volume, weight, access, route or service scope can change the price and operating plan.
4. Prohibited and restricted items
Customers must not tender unlawful, dangerous, explosive, corrosive, flammable or prohibited goods without prior written disclosure and acceptance. Cash, jewellery, negotiable instruments, important identity documents, medicines needed during travel and irreplaceable personal valuables should normally remain with the customer unless a specific written arrangement says otherwise. International shipments may be subject to destination-country restrictions and customs rules.
5. Access, parking and permissions
The customer is responsible for providing lawful and reasonably safe access at pickup and delivery. This may include building permission, lift booking, parking access, gate passes, loading windows and accurate floor information. If a vehicle cannot reach the expected loading point, additional labour, shuttle vehicle movement, waiting time or local handling may be required and may be chargeable if not included in the confirmed scope.
6. Scheduling and transit time
Pickup and delivery times are operational estimates unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed in writing. Road conditions, weather, regulatory checks, vehicle restrictions, consolidation, port or customs processes, labour availability and force-majeure events can affect timing. We aim to communicate material changes and coordinate reasonable alternatives, but customers should not rely on an unqualified website statement as a fixed delivery guarantee.
7. Pricing and payment
Quoted prices are based on the information available when the quotation is prepared. Taxes, documented third-party costs and agreed extras may be payable as stated in the quotation. Payment milestones, acceptable payment methods and any advance amount should be confirmed in writing. Customers should obtain a receipt or documented payment reference and should not make payment to an unverified personal account presented outside the agreed booking channel.
8. Packing and condition records
Where packing is included, the selected material and method should reflect the item type and agreed service level. Customers are encouraged to identify pre-existing damage and special-care items before packing. For vehicles or high-value consignments, condition photographs, inventory lists and handover records can help reduce disputes and support any later claim process.
9. Delivery and handover
At delivery, the customer or an authorized representative should be available to receive the consignment, identify visible issues and confirm handover. Missing packages or visible damage should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and documented with photographs, inventory references and delivery records. Concealed issues should be reported promptly after discovery in accordance with any booking-specific or insurance claim requirements.
10. Third-party services
Some moves may involve carriers, warehouses, international agents, customs professionals, shipping lines or insurers. Where a third party provides part of the service under its own terms, those terms may also apply to that component. We remain responsible for the services we directly undertake as stated in the written booking scope, but we cannot rewrite an independent provider’s regulatory or contractual obligations.
11. Liability and claims
Liability depends on the confirmed service, applicable law, documented loss, declared value and any transit-protection or insurance arrangement. Customers should not assume that every type of loss is automatically covered. Claim notification periods, exclusions, deductibles, survey requirements and supporting documents may be set by an insurer or booking-specific agreement. The Insurance & Transit Protection Policy page provides additional general guidance.
12. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund
Cancellation and rescheduling are governed by the written booking terms and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Costs already incurred for surveys, packing materials, labour allocation, transport placement, permits, storage, third-party bookings or other committed resources may affect any refundable amount.
13. Website content and intellectual property
Website text, layout, graphics and original brand assets may not be copied and republished as another business website without permission. Customers may save or print information for their own service evaluation and booking records. Product names, third-party marks and regulatory terms remain the property of their respective owners.
14. Contact and acceptance
By confirming a booking after receiving the applicable quotation and terms, the customer acknowledges the agreed service scope and responsibilities. Questions should be raised before pickup. Contact info@gatimoversandpackers.com, +91 9709700730 or +91 08222019003 for clarification.
